How To Best Wear A Custom Lapel Pin

By Karina Frost

Human beings are total fools for beauty. People from all walks of life often give utmost importance to the outside appearance more than anything else. They are easily drawn by anything that is beautiful, which gives the aesthetically pleasing utmost power over most of the population. Beauty standards are also set, trying to give people an idea of what really constitutes beauty. This has often led to humans doing all they possibly could just to adhere to such ridiculous standards.

Others choose to undergo surgical procedures to alter how they look. They often do this to look somewhat like their favorite Hollywood celebrities. Some just opt to dress for success, strutting down streets in expensive tailored outfits. They even come with accessories such as custom lapel pin to match.

These tiny accessories can be worn by both men and women, although the males often wear it more often than the females, who also choose to forgo the lapel pin for a fashionable necklace or any other piece of jewelry. These things are often fashioned out from various materials, all in accordance to their unique designs. They can be off set, made of cloisonne, soft enamel, even silver and gold.

They are widely used as a complementary thing for suits and jackets. They have been used by males for years, ever since they were marketed to the public. Their name comes mainly from the fact that they are usually attached to the lapels of formal suits. They are sometimes attached there as some sort of decorative item.

However, most guys wear pins for symbolic reasons. Such accessories almost always look like mini flags, organizational symbols, or company logos. Males wear them to proudly show their affiliation to a certain group with which they associate themselves with.

These things are usually worn on the left lapel of a dinner jacket or a business suit. The wearer should also ensure that his pin is secured, as they can be really hard to look for when they get lost. A standard design is often very subtle and small, with no larger than half an inch in any dimension.

Some pins are even actually sewn into the buttonhole of the left lapel. But, if a detachable one is used, it is recommended that you pin it up in the close vicinity of the buttonhole. One way to go about it is to have it pinned at the outside seam of the said buttonhole, in a straight line from it.

Though they are commonly found on the left side, they can also be worn on the right side. You must wear it where they are most easily seen, taking care that they will not be out of sight when shaking hands with other people. They can even be worn in the middle of the tie when you are not wearing a jacket.

These are not mandatory for every man who wears formal clothing. The use of these things just became so famous that most men are cajoled to wearing one on the suits. Most of the time, politicians and businessmen are seen wearing these a part of their wardrobe.
