You will not make poor decisions about finances in case you are scared, and it will help your business to success. Hit it head on and you should be very successful. Do not feel alone; everyone experiences anxiety, particularly when it comes to beginning a brand new business.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
- The Bene Gesserit "Litany Against Fear" from Frank Herbert's "Dune" (1965).
Step No. 3: It is okay to feel uncomfortable
The kind of hard work necessary to get a small business off the ground and to maintain that business is not comfortable. It's a day-in, day-out process, and there's never an off-season for a small business owner. You have to be willing to do what you have to, speak with the right people and go where you have to - all within legal parameters - to be able to make a small company work. Fear and uncertainty over whether you're ready or willing will stop you cold.
Step No. 4: Following through
Following through is the hardest thing to do and the most essential thing to do. You have to put money and effort into getting through hard times, and little bumps in the road could be passed. Do not feel like you are going to fail or you will. Optimistic thinking and motion are the two most important things in putting things into action and really making your company work.
