It's clear that there are many common uses for billboards, some of them potentially more important than others. You want to make sure that, as someone who may utilize said billboards, others will be made aware of whatever good or service that you have to offer. What surprised me, though, is that items like bus wraps and posters can be used in order to reach out to others regarding deeper subjects. Specifically, did you know that kidney donors can be appealed with these?
CBS 6 put forth an article that went into detail about the appeal to potential kidney donors by a person named Myrna Bernstein. The article in question mentioned how Bernstein, who is in need of a donor, was able to utilize different methods meant for marketing in order to reach the masses. In particular, she put a billboard and a series of ads across five different buses in order to make this happen. What surprised me, though, was that there was more to this endeavor than Bernstein's call for assistance as it stood.
Bernstein conducted this endeavor in order to find a donor but it can also be said that this was done to draw attention to a larger issue. It's important to keep in mind that many people suffer from kidney failure and the like, which means that the need for new kidneys is apparent. As one can imagine, a situation like this demands attention. Whether it's done through bus wraps or not, this medical need should be brought to the masses so that they can become aware of this situation.
Keep in mind that companies like JMR Graphics have been able to promote a number of products and services in the past, so who's to say that this medical story couldn't attain equal, if not greater, attention? Out-of-home advertising seems to be one of the better methods for those who are looking for help when it comes to the most serious of situations: health. The fact that Bernstein was able to go about utilizing items along the lines of bus wraps is tremendous. It speaks tremendously to her ambition.
My only hope is that Bernstein's work pays off and that she is able to find a donor who's able to give her the help she needs. It's clear that this is one of the more important issues when regarding health and I am glad to see that methods are being put into effect in order to draw attention to this. Who's to say that other donors cannot be helped as a result? If successful, Bernstein's efforts may actually be able to help others in the long run.
